Start with a balanced diet, nothing to dramatic otherwise you wont adapt and get into a routine of doing that.

Studies says around 90 days for you to get used to a routine so give a try

IMO, Calorie Deficit lang keep track of what you eat. that doesnt mean rin na you should restrict yourself sa food. Also ako kasi nag focus lang on cardio pero i think maganda rin to lift light weights.

Simple calorie in < calorie out. Tracking what you eat is the only way. even if you exercise when you see the amount of calorie burnt there you prefer just to not eat it
