Ang problema kasi, kapag nagkaroon ng divorce ilang politiko ang iiwan ng kanilang asawa.

It's pathetic because our lawmakers (and a lot of people) are against a divorce bill because we are A cAThOliC coUnTRy.
Like that's the only reason they state, disregarding rampant cheating, abuse, and broken families.

And it's about time we have one. The illusion of marriage is slowly waning in our time as more people are realizing that it should not be an inescapable life sentence but a voluntary life-long commitment. The kids should never be the reason to stay in an abusive relationship but the validation for staying away from it.

I admire you (wilmer99) for your opinion. Being in the US, I am surprised about divorce in the Philippines. I understand the context of why that is so, though, given the country’s colonial history
