i think mga unang years ni marcos as a president ay tahimik at maayos. pero ng tumagal nabahidan na ng korapsyon. bago naging presidente si marcos 3.9 = 1 ang piso sa usd, after 20 years pagtapos patalsikin si marcos 20.4 = 1 na ang piso kontra usd. ibigsabihin hindi gumanda ang ekonomiya nung panahon ng mga marcos. tumaas ang mga bilihin, malnorishment at inflation. pano nilang nasabing golden age yun

Hindi ko talaga inabotan yung martial but in my opinion while reading the books, documentaries related about the martial law you can really imagine the situation at that time, but para sa akin it is one of the darkest days in our history. Nakakadisappoint lang ngayon is yung number 1 survey ay isang anak ng diktador

Well, my two cents worth. If someone (a friend) who studied and graduated from the University of the Philippines and who was attracted to leftist ideology before, turned his head around and became a Marcos' supporter, then there is a possibility that the issue is not just really the basic "marcos vs aquino" family feud or "loyalists versus yellows" narrative. The rabbit hole goes way deeper than that.

The yellows say that only the old people still believes in a Marcos' resurrection in politics, but an overwhelmingly large number of young people too is supporting Marcos, most likely from the provinces and not in Imperial Manila, which is still in my opinion a largely Yellow territory. But going back to the assumption that old people are the only ones who support Marcos, was made because the old people were the young ones during the Marcos era. And they were the ones who experienced what's it like during the time. The old people say that the Martial law times were a quiet time, and that the only ones who were arrested were the troublemakers (communist activists and their allies). Not just ordinary people, but some journalists like Rita Gadi, Jay Sonza, and others seen and experienced that time.

Unfortunately for the Yellows, their narrative of Martial law with all the tortures and killings, was made comparable with Martial law that was declared in Mindanao during the Siege of Marawi, and also the almost "Martial law" atmosphere of the Covid-19 pandemic. People are now quick to compare the Martial law eras of both Marcos and Duterte in Mindanao, and people who lived in both eras were able to show the Yellows that their narrative is too general, it is false, and in the reviving nationalistic fervor of the non-left Filipino people, the yellow narrative is crumbling.

The internet, once a tool of the Globalist Liberal Left to seek world domination in the direction of a global democracy laced with socialism and liberalism, has also become a tool of the non-left - Nationalists, Patriots, Conservatives, Republicans and pro-Monarchs who saw that the "localized" events like the The Fall of the Shah of Iran, The Edsa Revolution, The Fall of Saddam Hussein and Ghaddafi among others, is basically a money grab of the current dominant power to ensure that the dollar reigns supreme. It is said that Marcos and Ghaddafi has plans to bring back their respective currencies, back to the Gold standard, which by doing so would ultimately result to the collapse of the Petro-dollar, and thus the mightly tentacles of the military industrial complex of that dominant country went to action and resulted to the depose of one and the killing of the other. The internet thus became a battle ground for the Globalist Liberals and the Conservatives and Nationalists, thus making people more and more aware with the daily influx of information bombarded in social media.

This has been a very long post, and this should be done with some beer and pulutan, but that is what I believe. This battle between the Loyalists and their BBM-DDS allies against the Liberal Yellows and their Communist activist allies is a very deep rabbit hole that in the end of the hole saw a battle between the Globalist Liberal establishment ( The West ) and the Conservative right (nationalist, patriot, religious, conservative, pro-Monarch, somewhat old school).

Erratum - I should say Neoliberalism and not Liberalism per se that would equate to Classical Liberalism, which is my good kind of Liberalism. Also if may add that Rita Gadi, and Jay Sonza which were media persons are suprisingly Marcos supporters, when the majoriy, if not all of mainstream media now, are overwhelmingly Yellow. Most are sons and siblings of political activists during the marcos era, which during their time were the liberal and communist activists, and also monied persons, which can also explain why the liberals in the Phillippines only has the upper middle class and the rich class as their base of support. If you are going to ask me, the Yellows, calling the poor, "nasa laylayan" only makes them out of touch and discreetly degrades the poor for what they THINK they are - "nasa laylayan".
