Batang 80's here. Natatawa ako minsan kase basic phone cam is so good na compared to back then. Pero naappreciate ko din ung nostalgia.

Personally, hindi ko gusto kasi alam ko na once nakuha ko na yung picture, yun na yung quality nun, I'd rather go for a dslr/mirrorless tapos if want ko man ng look na digicam then I can edit it like that. Ako kasi talaga mas prefer ko muna makuha yung best possible output at least alam ko may flexibility ako in the future

Personally, I get the aesthetic and novelty of it pero sometimes people go too overboard or medj masyado mataas expectation for an old digicam pero as long as medj gets ung mga downsides ng digicam and inaalagaan nila I think it's alright

Napansin ko lang yung growing popularity ng film nowadays. Hanap ata nila is that certain "aesthetic" na medyo grainy at vivd colors. Kaso for a roll of film medyo at a premium na at di pa kasama ang develop at scan/print.

Kaya as an alternative, people are looking for old digicams from the 2000s. Sabi nila yung low megapixels plus graininess give it a "film look". I'm kinda conflicted din kasi I want to try it for myself if it's worth the hype (and money) to buy an early-mid 2000s digicam.

I want to hear some opinions about this kasi medyo sumisikat na rin yan and medyo varied pa ang prices.

Thank you in advance :)
Gets kita ’to basically nasa “digicam vs film hype” rabbit hole ka na

Ang nangyayari ngayon is may two different things na nagmumukhang same aesthetic pero magkaiba talaga. Kaya kahit mukhang “film look,” technically ibang flavor siya more on digital imperfections kaysa film characteristics.
