The man even climbed up the roof in an attempt to escape, but he was already cornered.

An alleged member of the Akyat Bahay Gang was cornered by residents of K-1st Street in Kamuning, Quezon City on Wednesday, July 9.
At around 3 a.m., Roger Margano had seen a man attempting to break into his home. So, he shouted to alert his neighbors.
Startled, the suspect climbed up the roof of Margano's house in an attempt to escape. But the area was already surrounded by the residents.
After almost an hour, the man, identified as Lawrence Laurel, surrendered to barangay officials.
Despite the barangay officials' request for everyone to stay calm, some enraged residents still hit Laurel.
At the police station, Laurel turned over three cellphones and a wallet. He had already gone through a row of houses in the Kamuning area before he got caught.
Barangay officials later revealed that they have already recorded two home robberies this month. That's why they're doing their rounds more frequently.
They're also asking for increased police visibility in their area.
