Based on a paper I read from Ateneo, the Philippines has (for the most part) uneducated voters with regards to voting which is why people simply vote out of name recall and popularity.
I believe that the PH has voters who genuinely wants change for the Philippines, ang problema lang sa PH is that most people do not understand the job of the government. Ang mahalaga sakanila is tumutulong, or "mabuti", which is not a bad characteristic for a politician to have its just that it shouldn't be the main reason to vote for someone.
I strongly believe that we have voters that want genuine change (whether it be through iron rule or electing credible public officials). The problem is rooted in our system na maraming misinformed voters ang pupunta sa mga precincts and pati na rin sa kakulangan ng voter's education.
