I have heard a lot of thoughts regarding the matter from experts on TV and Social Media. But I also want to hear what you guys think.

I'm against it. Baka maubos ang pera ng gobyerno since hindi naman ito sureball na magkaka ROI. Baon na nga tayo sa utang, baka mas lalo pa tayong lumubog pag nagkataon.

It's just an embezzlement scheme imo. Di mapagkakatiwalaan.

The idea of a sovereign wealth fund is good. If managed correctly, this can be very beneficial to a country (see Norway's). However, I have zero trust in the capabilities of our current government; I have even less trust as to their actual intentions for the fund. Most likely it will line their pockets, not ours.

Against me, di maganda timing nito lalo marami utang bansa, thus medyo sketchy na hindj magaling sa finance hahawak kaya no ako dito, maybe if makabangon economy

With the way the state of affairs is, I'm against it. Imagine, ekonomiya ng buong mundo is bagsak because of many factors (Russia-Ukraine War, COVID-19 pandemic) pero pinu-push pa rin talaga.

Just yesterday, binalita na yung Sovereign Wealth Fund ng Norway (which is the largest in the world) lost $164bn. Lugi na nga lahat, may pandemya pa, ang mahal pa ng sibuyas, tapos yan inaatupag nila. Sobrang wrong timing lang.
