If you dive deeper into how Filipinos vote, they seem to cling on partisan politics so quickly without deeper thinking. They get easily embroiled on topics of "who's better?" and immediately creates a preconception that if you're not part of "this" group, you're part of "that" group.

I know people who are so articulate yet could not acknowledge misgivings of their candidates [last election].

TLDR; everyone is an apologist for their own biases--no critical thinking.

I think it goes deep den kasi with the culture itself as to why voters are the way they are, you can clearly see a bias towards dynasties and names, people tend to gravitate towards those who apparently seem nice, or help people, well honestly we can never know the true intentions of politicians unless we were inside their inner circles
