I am restarting my cosplay- and event-photography.
At my last vacation in Tokyo I visited Cosholic on recommendation from a local cosplay acquaintance.
First I thought it was a "normal" cosplay event, but it was a bity spicy. ;-)
What are your recommendation for special YT-Tutorial-Videos and hardware for these type of events?
Already have experience with outdoor, studio and indoor photography.
But indoor mostly well lit places or with my studio flashes. Which are not allowed and would be to big for vacation luggage.

At the moment I use:
Sony A57
Sony 50mm 1.8
Sigma DC 18-200mm 3.5-6.3
Sigma EF-610 DG Super

Thinking about ordering inflateable Softboxes for events linke Cosholic.

Save to change for newer Sony camera with e-Mount.
Additional I have some studio flashed, softboxes and background systems.

your equipment is pretty OK even today, but for speed - ideally, switching to even just the A6000 and getting a basic 17-50 f2.8 will serve you well.
I currently use a full frame setup and heck the good lenses are damn big lol

Keep the 50, it's useful. Worthy additions for glass would be a slightly shorter and longer prime, like a 35mm and an 85mm. Up to you if you wanna get tempted by anything faster than f1.8, but that's going to cost in both money and bulk+weight. You wouldn't want heavy gear for events, it'll wear you down fast.

For lighting, LED options are the in thing these days, especially to balance ambient light.
