For those looking at current generation CPUs, wait for Intel 13th gen non-K cpus and AMD non-X Ryzen 7000s to hit the market here. Lower price, similar performance to their -K and -X counterparts, lower temps and power consumption are great to have.

A side note as well; more affordable AM5 motherboards are supposedly going on sale around Q2 this year.
