A problem with its landing gear forced a Davao-bound flight of Philippine Airlines Express to make a U-turn and an emergency landing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Tuesday morning.
No one was initially reported injured in the incident involving the PAL Express Flight PR-2811, radio dzBBs Mao dela Cruz reported.
Citing initial information from PAL, the dzBB report said the Airbus 320 bound for Davao departed NAIA at 6:47 a.m. but returned to the NAIA runway shortly after 7 a.m.
Initial investigation showed a problem with the nose landing gear.
After repairs, the plane left for Davao with 180 passengers past 8 a.m.
