Rampant na yung cancel culture dito sa PH. Take Toni Gonzaga for example. We should always listen to different sides of the story bakit cinacancel yung bagay o tao.

Ano ang opinyon nyo about this topic? May nangyayari bang ganito sa Pilipinas? Is this a western thing, this cancel cuture o meron din nito sa ibang mga bansa't kultura na hindi western? Dapat ba tayong matakot dahil dito?

Para sa akin itong dalawang bagay na ito ang Social media, na may tendency na pagsamahin all "like-minded" people into one room or page, at ang Cancel culture, ay para sa akin napaka-makapangyarihang bagay na pwede gamitin para mang-intimidate ng isang tao o grupo na ayaw ng mga nang-ka-cancel, kahit walang katotohanan ang mga paratang, may mob rule sa Cancel cuture that ensures na hindi makakabangon sa pagkakadapa ang subject na kina-cancel.

Sobrang double faced at superficial ng tao sa social media ngayon. Binawasan ko yan, mas naging positibo outlook ko araw araw

Ok lang naman yung cancel culture when we cancel sensible stuff like serial killers, rapists, and corruption. Pero minsan ang sarap naring cancelin ng cancel culture specially when these influencers start to cancel things na hindi naman ganon kalala. And may times din na pati yung mga tao lakas makacancel ng mga influencers over small things, case in point, walang longanisa sa breakfast buffet. I mean, I agree her behavior deserves reprimand and readjustment, pero when did it become this easy to shame other people for the things they are not proud of?

I'm actually against cancel culture. True na we need to hold some people accountable, pero I think na sometimes sobra na din ang cancel culture na may kina-cancel na tayo just because they just have views that oppose our own

you can only get cancelled by your own peers or side . for example duterte can not be cancelled by people who did not vote for him but he canbe cancelled by his own supporters.

Cancel culture is actually something na hindi naman masama, not unless my hidden-agenda yung isang tao to cancel someone. Cancel culture = eyeopener.
