I've been seeing more and more posts on social media about working out. I mean more power to people who wants to get fit and all but I'm thinking that some are just the going with the trend
I don't think there's anything wrong about it. Maganda nga yan at least natututo tayong pangalagaan yung sarili natin by exercising/going to the gym- unlike other trends which put us more in danger.
I'm not seeing this trend myself now more than the past. Perhaps you or your peers clicked on a fitness-related page/posts and the social media platform's algorithm starts showing you more and more of the same theme, making your peers also work out.
I think you could call it a trend but I call it post covid effect. Madaming nagsasabi na nagkaroon ng pagtaas ng mga tao na naging health conscious after ng pandemic. Maybe isa ito sa dahilan kaya maraming nagwoworkout at maraming lumilipat sa plant based diet. May ilan siguro na sumasabay lang sa uso dahil sa nauuso dito sa Pilipinas na *sakalin ng biceps ang mga babae something pero I think nangyayari ito dahil nga sa mas naging health conscious ang mga tao. Either way positive effect/trend naman ito dahil mas maraming tao ang iniimprove ang sarili nila and economy wise mas kumikita ang mga gym dahil sa kanila.
If you will look at the bigger picture, maganda naman ang intention, tho depende na lang talaga yan sa tao kung magiging committed sila na maglaan ng time for gym. Di naman toxic as long as walang random bodybuilder na magbibida-bida sa socmed haha.
