The world is full of secrets and exclusive places we don’t know about and simply couldn’t visit even if we wanted to. Although most places on Earth are accessible to travelers, some places are just better off left alone.
Here are some places in the world you wish you could go visit but can’t.
North Sentinel Island, Andaman Islands

The Sentinelese are indigenous people of the Andaman Islands, in the Bay of Bengal. Their population is estimated to be between 50 and 400 individuals. Some people believe that all Andaman Island tribes were cannibals, though there is no evidence as such. They reject all types of communication with outsiders repeatedly, protect their land violently and drive all visitors off their island with bows and arrows.
Lascaux Caves, Southwest France

Lascaux is the setting of a complex of caves in southwestern France famous for its Paleolithic cave paintings. These paintings are estimated to be 17,300 years old. They primarily consist of images of large animals, most of which are known from fossil evidence to have lived in the area at the time. These 17,300 year old cave paintings were being damaged by exhaled carbon dioxide from tourists so the French Government shut them down.
Poveglia, Italy

The island of Poveglia in the Venice Lagoon is also known as the most haunted island in the world. The tiny island of Poveglia in the Venice Lagoon has served many unpleasant purposes over the years: a quarantine station, a dumping ground for plague victims and more recently a mental hospital. For a time, the Italian government owned the island, but it was later sold. Today Poveglia is uninhabited and tourism to island is strictly forbidden.
Snake Island, Brazil

Ilha da Queimada Grande, nicknamed Snake Island, is a 430,000-square-meter island off the coast of the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. It is home to one of the most venomous snakes in the world. It’s the only place you will find 2,000 or so of the wholly unique golden lancehead viper. The island is deemed so dangerous that the Brazilian Navy expressly forbids anyone from landing on the island.
The Mariana Trench, Pacific Ocean

The Mariana Trench is the deepest part of the worlds oceans. It is located in the western Pacific Ocean, to the east of the Mariana Islands. It reaches a maximum-known depth of 10,994 meters. Only three people have ever made it to the bottom. Good luck going there.
