Here's what's been happening in the PC hardware space lately:

• GPU and CPU deals are making the rounds — Tom's Hardware rounded up current discounts on GPUs, CPUs, and SSDs if you're looking to upgrade.
• PCWorld published a piece about how PC hardware feels "boring" right now — incremental updates, not much exciting. Some people are worried this slowdown isn't temporary.
• Bad news for laptop buyers: a research report says mainstream laptop prices could jump by up to 40%. Yikes.
• Hardware shortage is getting weird — stores in Japan are literally begging customers to sell them old rigs. One Akihabara shop said "we pretty much buy any PC."
• AI PCs continue to dominate the conversation at Computex 2025. Lots of new announcements, but traditional PC hardware still got some love.
• The whole "AI inflection point" narrative keeps growing — more talk about how AI demand is disrupting hardware supply chains and pushing prices up.
