Hi everyone, I would like to share one of the political events happened here in Negros Oriental. In these past few days, there are people called, "mangamangay" these are those people that would pay families or individuals money to buy vote.
Recently they as they process this "kamang" of them, these people would go to houses every morning when the sun is up. BUT some people protest because it's not legal to buy vote--- and some of them just got reported. That's why these people created some ideas for them not to be found, for their faces to be hidden. THEY GO AT NIGHT. Why? Dark and out of suspicion.
For them not to get caught they will wear caps and masks.
The funny thing is this: when it's at night, basically, we grow up in rumors that there are ghosts. That's why our parents tell us when we were kids, to finish the dinner fast and go to sleep so that the ghosts will not hunt us. Here in Negros Oriental, people are considered ghosts, those people that are "mangamangay." THEY GO AT NIGHT, WEAR CAPS AND MASKS, YOU DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE AND THE DO ILLEGAL THINGS.
I HOPE EVERYONE WILL HAVE AN HONEST CONSCIENCE WHEN THE DAY OF THE ELECTION COMES.
Anak: Ma, parang may multo sa bubong natin.
Mama: Di yan multo nak, si cap yan nangamang
