Make sure you're willing to REALLY start over before you make the move. As in doing jobs you may think are "beneath" what you've already accomplished. By humble and understand that honest work in ANY field should never be looked down upon.
You hear stories of doctors working as nurses, executives as security guards or janitors.
Be humble and be ready to get your hands dirty to ensure your success. Do not think that moving to Canada will be all glamour.

My husband and I are thinking hard on moving the whole family to Canada. We are based here in Istanbul and thinking of moving into a new city where it's mostly cold and windy ( we had enough of the summertime). He's an architect and I'm a teacher. Do we have good chances in continuing our careers in Canada?
