certainly didn't expect to run across a thread like this hahaha. I've some pretty bad memories of forced recitation of some of her popular works, but as I've been able to appreciate it with a more critical and literary lens thanks to collegiate studies, it's given me a newfound appreciation for her work, even if it has become a bit of a "meme"/inside joke among some of my friends who were constantly forced to keep revising how lines from Still I Rise back in the day for performances.
