Ohh, I see. How about Horizon Zero Dawn and its sequel Forbidden West. Though it's not really a fantasy game but close to Nier games. I only played Nier Automata though, 11/10.

Can't say as I haven't tried, too damn busy to play long games, but I did already spoil myself by reading about the world, and yeah, that probably fits.

Chrono Trigger, Suikoden 1-2, FF VI
Probably three of the best JRPGs and Chrono Trigger possibly the best of all time but some may argue especially mga FFVII lovers
