How to block website (easy way using host file)

Host files are the files used by Microsoft TCP/IP for windows. It shows the mapping of the IP address with its corresponding Host name. It helps to access any web site or web page easily. Mapping the IP addresses with their Host names also help to resolve DNS issues.

Path to Host File
C - > Windows - > System32 - > drivers - > etc - > hosts

Open Hosts file via notepad

after opening in notepad you will something like this

to block a website simply add the website you want to block

or run notepad as admin and go to that folder. minsan kc d editable. or d tlga editable pag hnd admin access :D

yup... tama pero dapat mag ingat din dito... kelangan gumawa ng backup ng hosts file para iwas nganga... :D

buti nalang sinabi mo, dedelete ko na sana hosts file ko eh :3 hahahah

Is there a way para maredirect siya sa isang site kapag vinisit nya like kunwari ivivisit nya facebook pero mapupunta siya sa ibang site because of the host file? Kasi hypothesis ko palang naman ito na what if kung ip ng ibang site ang ilagay natin dun sa 127.0.0.1 mareresolve kaya yun diba? :hehe:
