I've been upgrading mine gradually. Every 3 years I usually get something new, like more ram, a new ssd, fans.. those type of things. For more crucial stuff like cpu or motherboard I usually wait a little more since they kind of depend of each other. I make sure to buy the latest/modern stuff so I can keep them for a while (5 years ~)
For graphics card.. whenever there's a really good sale

Until I can't run games even on lower settings. Upgrading PC can be expensive! But it does feel so nice when you do finally upgrade to the latest tech

after building "future proofed" rig, siguro no upgrades na for the next 7 years (alam kong wala talagang future proofing pero look at the gains from each generation recently, parang di na worth mag upgrade masyado)

Nag start ako sa entry level (duh) tapos after a year at mas nagka idea ako sa pc, nag upgrade na ako sa mid range. planning to upgrade again in 3-4 years

If you pick the parts right, you can upgrade CPUs every 6-10 years (get i5s or equivalents), and GPUs every 3 years for x060 nvidias, or 6 years for x080 nvidias (or AMD equivalent).

Pag napansin kong nahihirapan na siya sa mga modern titles. I rocked a 1050ti GPU until napansin ko na kahit sa low settings ng GTA V eh nahihirapan na siya. Switched to a 6600xt. If in the future kahit sa low settings eh nahirapan na rin ang 6600xt ko, that's when I upgrade. Same concept ako sa other parts like CPU and RAM.
