Pag invasion me chance pero kung total destruction ng bansa mo ang gusto ng kalaban babay na. Hindi na kagaya dati ang giyera. Pag walang pakialam sa consequences ang bansang kalaban mo they can simply resort to biological warfare and watch your nation die slowly.

On my own opinion: small nations can employ a combination of diplomatic, strategic, and military measures to enhance their security. Here are some strategies that small countries can consider:

  1. Alliances and Partnerships: Forming alliances with larger, more powerful nations can be a key strategy for defense. Joining international organizations like NATO, ASEAN, or similar regional security organizations can provide security guarantees and access to collective defense mechanisms.
  2. Diplomacy: Engage in active diplomacy to build relationships with neighboring countries and other nations that have an interest in regional stability. Strong diplomatic ties can deter potential aggressors and help in conflict resolution.
  3. Non-Alignment: Some small countries choose a policy of non-alignment, staying neutral in conflicts between larger powers. This can help avoid becoming a target in geopolitical conflicts.
  4. Economic Strength: A strong economy can indirectly contribute to defense capabilities. Economic stability and prosperity can be a deterrent, and it can also provide resources to invest in military capabilities if necessary.
  5. Asymmetric Warfare: Small countries can focus on developing asymmetric warfare capabilities, such as guerrilla warfare tactics, cyber warfare, or precision missile systems, which can offset the military advantage of larger adversaries.
  6. Civil Defense: Invest in civil defense measures, including emergency preparedness, bunkers, and early warning systems. This can help mitigate the impact of an attack and bolster the resilience of the population.
  7. International Treaties and Agreements: Participate in international arms control agreements and treaties to limit the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. This can help reduce the threat of nuclear or chemical warfare.
  8. Strategic Geography: Leverage your country's geography. Natural barriers like mountains, oceans, or dense forests can make invasion more challenging.
  9. Military Modernization: Invest in a modern, well-trained, and efficient military force. Focus on technologies that provide a force multiplier effect, such as missile defense systems or intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities.
  10. National Service: Implement a system of national service or conscription to ensure a large pool of trained personnel in case of a national emergency.
  11. Soft Power: Utilize soft power, including cultural diplomacy, education, and humanitarian efforts, to build positive international perceptions and relationships.
  12. International Law: Advocate for international norms and adherence to international law, which can discourage aggressive actions by other countries.
  13. Public Awareness: Educate the population about the importance of national defense and the role of citizens in supporting it.
  14. Resilience: Build resilience at all levels of society, from the government to local communities, to withstand and recover from various security threats.
It's important to note that the specific strategies a small country should adopt will depend on its unique geopolitical situation, resources, and the nature of potential threats.

take the vietnam approach

familiarity with the terrain
"anything goes" mentality (shit-covered spikes, booby traps)
one goal in mind for all combatants

would work for ground battles, pwera nalang kung ma-nuke agad hahahah

I have been following reviews on war games where the US would fight a smaller country. What I find surprising is how ingenious generals are when it comes to tactics on tackling a US Nacy Fleet.

One general used the mosque prayer broadcast system to coordinate attacks which caught the generals playing as the US off guard and unable to find out how they are coordinating

One general used small suicide attack boats that are hard to hit which destroyed or disabled the billion dollar carriers. This has made the US upgrade their CWIS to open fire on small boats effectively (FYI I believe the Ukranians have tried to do this on a frigate on Sevastopol, the attack helicopters were having such a difficult time destroying the suicide drone boats).

One country has halted the US advance using fast pick up trucks with armor piercing munitions to run behind the flanks of the US in the war on Afghanistan.

Ukraine, is now using drones rigged with droppable bombs to scatter the Russian bodies everywhere. (Ukraine is making significant advances as of today but the world is still watching if Russia would press the big red button since they are losing big time)

I am now wondering how we (Philippines) could potentially defend our country being an archipelago. I find this difficult since we have a weak navy and airforce, in an ongoing civil war with communist rebels and radical muslim elements. Don't get me wrong, I support our soldiers but I am afraid the government has abandoned them by importing outdated Nth hand military surplus meanwhile there is rampant corruption.

Small units lang talaga like guerilla or limited attacks kasi palaging nasa malaking bansa yung air superiority eh. Hindi kaya yung malalaking offensives of old because they can be easily decimated by air strikes.
