The Gilas Pilipinas national team will make its debut in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea on Tuesday against India.
The South Asian champions got the right to face the Philippines after topping Group B of the competition with a surprising 80-61 smashing of Kazakhstan on Monday.
India is a familiar foe for Gilas, with the two nations having faced off last July in the FIBA Asia Cup. The Philippines won that contest, 70-66.
Meanwhile, coach Chot Reyes offered free tickets to Gilas fans in Incheon for the matchup.
The Asian Games have been marred by poor attendance so far, with Mayor Yoo Jeong-Bok acknowledging that the poor attendance because of lack of interest in the competition.
