Split your practice routine in two (or three) parts:
1. Theory - hindi yung pang conservatory na theory. Just learn the notes on your fretboard. There is an online note generator na ginagamit ko to learn the notes on each string, and you make up some sort of a practice routine with a metronome - e.g. 4 quarter notes for each note starting on the lowest string, then all the way to the bottom. After you get comfortable, start with the triads na sa lowest three strings. Justin Guitar is a great resource for this. Depende sayo if you want to just memorize shapes, but it will pay off if you know what notes you are playing on your guitar.
2. Learning a song - you will bore yourself to death if you don't apply what you learn into a song. Kahit na gano ka simple - just play. After all, this is the end goal.
3. Rhythm (optional, but IMO, essential) - most guitarists tend to take this part for granted, pero I make time to really practice this. Check out Signals Music Studio - parang name your price ata ung rhythm course nya, and you can check him out sa YouTube. Yung maganda dito is mahahasa ung phrasing mo especially when strumming intermediate songs. Kahit mahina ung fretting hand mo in the beginning, if solid ung pulse, 9 times out of 10 it will sound more like music.
