Kung newbie talaga, tama, mag 2nd hand DSLR ka muna, any brand, then get a 50mm 1.8.

Pag na hook ka, then you'll have and idea if youre jumping into mirrorless or sticking with DSLR.

Pro ng mirrorless, is more video functionalities, smaller bodies and lenses, and more "future-proof" (if that even matters, hint: it doesnt)

Pro ng DSLR, optical viewfinder, mas mura 2nd hand lenses cuz a lot are jumping to mirrorless.
