A 10-year-old boy was shot dead after he was mistaken for a thief at a coconut farm in Tinambac town in Camarines Sur province last weekend.
The incident where the caretaker shot the boy occurred last Saturday in Barangay Binalay in Tinambac town, GMA Bicols Kaye Botastas reported.
The boy died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Police said their initial findings showed the boy entered the coco farm last Saturday with two people who had been linked to past thefts of coconuts.
