I think honestly it depends if:
1. What are you going to use it for?
2. Are there certain features that you need from the iPad?
3. Do you have other apple devices which are part of the apple ecosystem?
4. Budget?

TBH iPads are the best tablets out there but there are also cheaper android alternatives as well

If mayroon ka nang phone, and you just need a device for entertainment, very ok siya. malaki ang screen and maganda ang resolution. Dagdag mo na rin ang simplicity ng apple OS. Mas okay na experience siya for us compared sa mga android tablets
