In a lot of traditional sports like basketball, it becomes boring to see the same team win so many championships. In the short history of LOL, Faker has already won 3 championships, that is more championships than other teams in traditional sports have ever won.
I don't understand why people are so enamored to see winningest teams, or winningest players win even more? Deft winning his first last season was an amazing achievement and more hype, not only because it was an underdog story, but because he denied T1 another championship.
I think in the end, people just don't want JDG to win the golden road, as this will just prove that this JDG team is the best team in LOL history, which probably will IRK T1 fans. It seems to me that T1 fans want to ensure that Faker maintains his Goat status, so they often downplay the skill and achievement of other players like Chovy.
I would rather see JDG win this one, because other than Ruler, the other 4 players would be getting their very first world championship. T1 has already had their dynasty moment, they are already living off the success of their past. Stop living in the past and allow other teams to dominate.

High chance this year since Chinese teams were not as good last year pero they can beat GenG for T1 so T1 can win another worlds again.
