Description
During this course you will gain lot of knowledge on the dynamic simulation background and the way how the simulation is performed using the eclipse software.The general background of the reservoir simulation and the step by step methodology how to perform simulation is described with examples that can be viewed and displayed through 15 videos of more than 30 minutes each.During this course sessions you will be able to go through the following items: •Overview on reservoir simulation data management •Advantage of reservoir simulation •Purposes of Reservoir Simulation •Requirements for dynamic simulation •Why do we need reservoir simulation •Planning of the study •Data gathering procedures and analysis •Model construction and validation, methodology •Rock and Fluid Properties Data to be used in the model •Flow governing equations •Phases of simulation study •Practical considerations for History matching •Planning for predictions scenarios •Eclipse data sections review and keywords in reference manual •Eclipse Examples and analysis •Output results visualizations, plots and mapsA tool developed by combing physics, mathematics, reservoir engineering, and computer programming for predicting hydrocarbon reservoir performance under various operating strategies • Gain insight into the recovery processes of a reservoir. A computer program based on the mathematical model needs input! Required reliable data? No simulator can replace reliable data or the brain of the user.The aim of gridding in reservoir simulation is to turn the geological model of the field into a discrete system which the fluid flow equation can be solved. • Common grid co-ordinate system • Cartesian • Cylindrical• Once the static modelling has been completed, the next step is building dynamic model and validate it using the production data and well test. • The reservoir dynamic model after history matching is used for forecasting and field development planning
