Share ko lang personal experience ko.

Gamit namin dati is yung PLDT ONU FIBR oem modem/router lang. Works fine for simple use pero nung dumami devices sa bahay napansin ko madalas mawalan ng net and need i-restart yung modem. Upon checking, napansin ko na masyadong mataas yung cpu usage kapag madaming naka connect. It seems low-end cpu lang gamit ng stock cpu modem.

I opted for TP-link na may MIMO and 5Ghz wifi. Got only very slightly faster speeds pero ang malaking improvement ay sa stability. Also maganda yung control panel ni TP-link and plan ko din mag upgrade to mesh wifi na TP-link din. Take note na di mo realistically mapapalitan yung modem ng PLDT. In my case, modem ko is PLDT pero lahat ng router tasks is handled by the TP-link.

Might be the cause of some connection hiccups. I'm not sure kung naayos na yun though.

Posting this for insight. Hope it helps.
thanks po for the info
