I got to a good salary here in the Philippines with just sql and staying on it. No certifications and no professional training. It all boils down to specialization. Database Administrator/Engineer is a good choice. Kung may alam ka rin sa reporting at support, madaming opportunities. You would be surprised na even Excel skills + vba maraming mapupuntahan.
