I highly recommend listening to Michael Parenti. He is a political scientist who partook in some activism alongside some Filipino-Americans. I recommend his famous 1986 “yellow” video/tape.

He argues that national debt is a massive wealth transfer from the poor to the rich. Tons of rich people live off of bonds—loans they give to the government. They collect the interest every day until they die and pass it on to their kids. This is a massive issue in many countries—especially the U.S. it will be interesting to see if it all falls apart this century.

How can you have infinite growth on a finite world?
