Welcome! Today we will be learning about the Collison of Empires. How did indigenous people in the Americas thrive before Columbus? This includes the Mayan, Aztec and Incan Civilizations. How did these civilizations have advancements and technologies to help them thrive? How did European colonization impact their lives? We will learn a wide range of vocabulary from the Berling Strait, Tenochtitlan, Montezuma, chinampas, Hernan Cortés, Andes Mountains, Pachacuti, terrace farming, Pizarro, Mestizo and Bartolomé de las Casas. Students will be brought back in time to learn about the way of life of these groups. Enjoy! :)Current AP US History Teacher.
