With the rise of social media, it seems like misinformation spreads faster than ever. Do you guys think platforms like Facebook and Twitter are doing enough to combat fake news? Or are they just making the problem worse by prioritizing engagement over accuracy? Let's discuss how this impacts our society and what should be done!

Facebook and combatting fake news in the same sentence is not what I expected in my bingo card. Adding fuel to the fire are those "influencers" that have biases in their take. I stopped using FB when all I see are politics in my news feed that's most of the time purported by some of my HS friends, and that messes up the algorithm. At least X is not that bad in combatting fake news, but I do feel some X/Twitter fatigue sometimes.

Totally get that! It's wild how social media has turned into a battleground for opinions instead of real info. I ditched FB too; just a lot of noise and politics everywhere.
