Is Influencer Culture Destroying Genuine Creativity?

I've been thinking a lot about how influencer culture has taken over social media and the creative industry in general. Are we losing the essence of genuine creativity in favor of what's trendy or marketable? It feels like everyone is chasing likes and follows instead of focusing on their craft. What do you guys think? Is this just a phase, or is it really damaging how we define creativity?
