I've been seeing a lot of new phones come out with dual SIM capability, but I'm wondering if it's still a must-have feature in 2023. With eSIM technology becoming more popular and the rise of unlimited data plans, do you guys still think having two physical SIMs is useful? What are your experiences with dual SIM usage? Is it practical for everyday users?

At least for this year 2026, I think old school is better - heck I still prefer the really big sim since it's less prone to break. I just believe their move is to make people buy more spend more. compare to e-sim, it's cheaper to use on multiple devices but that has on by itself the security flaw if it gets stolen. I hope there could be a physical sim password where it can be an added safety measure if it gets used on another device and if stolen.

I get where you're coming from! There's definitely something about the old-school physical SIMs that just feels more reliable. A password for physical SIMs sounds like a good idea, but I wonder how practical that would actually be in day-to-day use.

In my experience having another sim saves me when travelling, some areas have poor signals on one telecom provider while having good on others
