Not only is the game still alive but they had a leak recently in Nvidia drivers where csgo 2 will be released likely using source 2 engine. CSGO 2 will be huge. But they bullet spray and system will be different so everyone will have to relearn its mechanics it should feel similar to cs source which many prefer over CSGO.
