Here's what's been happening in the hardware world the past day or so:
  • Supermicro just opened their biggest Silicon Valley campus — a new facility focused on building out AI data centers. Expect more server gear coming down the pipeline.
  • Someone built a pedal-powered CPU cooler. Yes, you literally bike to cool your rig. Fun project, probably not replacing your AIO anytime soon lol.
  • If you're on an AMD X670 or B650 board, good news — EXPO 1.2 support is coming according to an ROG forum member. Should mean better memory overclocking down the line.
  • PCB prices might be going up soon, and that could hit almost everything — GPUs, motherboards, SSDs, you name it. Not great if you're planning a build.
  • There's talk of a "2026 hardware crisis" driven by supply issues, which could push more companies toward private cloud setups instead of buying their own gear.
  • PATEO and NVIDIA teamed up on an AI box that combines software and hardware in one package. Sounds like it's aimed at the automotive/smart device space.
  • PCWorld published a piece saying PC hardware is getting "boring" right now — incremental updates, not much exciting. Kinda hard to disagree if you've been following recent launches.
  • Tom's Hardware has an ongoing deals roundup for 2026 if you're hunting for GPU, CPU, or SSD bargains.
Anything here catch your eye? Or are you also feeling like hardware's been kinda meh lately?
