From what I hear from friends the US visa is a pain. And if it's work visa dealing with a lot of immigration lawyers potentially etc $$$

Well apart from US - Canada is almost always an underrated contender sa pinakamahirap to get a visa, kaya usually ang daming recruiters who take advantage of desperate filo's.
