I'd also love to know more about this, I'm starting my college soon, and I'm majoring in mechanical engineering, my budget would be around 1000$

true and on top of that, check to see if the laptop isn't all "locked up" on the bottom.
most gaming laptops nowadays restrict you from upgrading ram or unscrewing caps to take a peek at the inside, but this is really just to get people more prone to buying entirely new laptops instead....
