Here's what's been happening in the Fortnite world lately:
Anything here you're excited about or meh on? The Star Wars horror island sounds kinda wild ngl.
- Big Star Wars x Fortnite collab incoming — they're adding three new Star Wars islands, including a horror game with Darth Vader. Expanded partnership between Disney/Epic so expect more SW content rolling out.
- Fortnite is back on iPhone... in Japan. Epic Games Store launched on iOS there with Fortnite and Rocket League Sideswipe. Still no word on other regions or Mac support though.
- D4vd cosmetics are being refunded after the singer was linked to a court case involving a murder charge. Epic pulled the emotes and is offering refunds — check your account if you bought any.
- Fans are also upset that the D4vd emotes got hidden behind a setting before the refund news broke. Messy situation overall.
- Olympic figure skater Alysa Liu's routine is now a Fortnite emote and it's actually really well-animated. Cool little addition.
- Epic reportedly laid off dozens of employees in the Bay Area recently. Part of ongoing restructuring — rough news for the studio.
