Arrested "suspect" in his 40s. Abe conscious when taken to hospital but now showing no vital signs.

Japanese news says his heart is Unresponsive is undergoing cardiac arrest.

But only doctors in the hospital can call someone is deceased. So likely he passed.

Whenever an incident happens with someone deceased, paramedics on scene cannot call someone deceased. They'll only say "they're undergoing cardiac arrest." they'll then be taken to the hospital and only a doctor can call it.

Reason for the attack:

The authorities are now saying the shooter has told interrogators that he was dissatisfied with Abe & his policies, and so targeted him at the rally with the intention to kill. The media has not yet disclosed the nature of the dissatisfaction.
