Hey everyone! I've been thinking about my audio setup for gaming and I'm wondering if investing in a dedicated sound card is really worth it. Do you guys use one, or do you think the onboard audio is good enough for a great gaming experience? I mostly play FPS and RPG games, so clarity and positioning are important to me. Would love to hear your thoughts!

For fps games, a really good headphones is a must

I dont think you needed soundcard for pc, most modern motherboard have built in sound card that enough to provide good quality audio, what you really need is a good headset a wireless one or usb type to completely bypass onboard sound card, actually sound card is a thing of the past now most pc user who wants really high quality audio use external DACs now like Focusrite but thats is overkill if you only want it for gaming, hope it helps.

Totally agree, most onboard sound is more than enough for gaming. A good headset really makes the difference!
