Depende sa field mo or gusto mo boss. You're comparing apples and oranges here. True na both are in the computer and tech field, pero the difference lies on the focus of the field. CS (my major) focuses more on the back-end (programming, AI, automata) and theoretical aspect (algos and calculus). Mostly coding and theoretical stuff ang inaaral namin diyan. However for IT, take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt since I'm CS major rather than IT, are mostly on the front-end, design, and business application side of computers. I hope nakatulong to sa pagpili mo!
Edit: Banned acc pala tong nireplyan ko, pero kung sino man makakita neto and may same question, sana makatulong din

I second this.
fundamentally there are similarities between the two but it goes off the moment when you get into the specifics.
CS is math heavy and theoretical while IT is more on the practical side of computing and may networking bent din. pero depende na rin yan sa mga papasukan mong uni kasi iba-iba ang mga course offerings at skillsets nila pagdating dyan.

1. IDK, true it's math heavy, but for me algorithms are much much heavier than math in CS
2. pag nag-aapply ka na sa iba't ibang schools, you should ask for curriculums/syllabi/flowcharts for both CS and IT, tapos compare nalang ng programs and schools

CS is more science talaga (nagiging mas theoretical towards the end). IT is more for human solutions and integrating into work talaga while CS focuses on optimizing the software itself
