Think you can break down spending even further than 60-40.
You can go 40-20-40 (Needs-wants-savings), and then break down what is necessary and how each is viewed e.g. a good meal once a week is a want vs groceries for cooking (need).
But you'd need to know how you spend and on what you spend, so good to start recording to see where you can save and what you absolutely need.
