Commitment is a deeply personal matter; it comes from within. If you have a commitment and it is coming from someone else, it is an obligation. You can be as committed as you want to be, you measure the extent you are willing to go. A marriage is a commitment, but to what extent? I am willing to share everything with my wife; but I refuse to give her access to my phone or computer. I develop this, not her.
