I've been thinking lately about how much we rely on technology for everything—from communication to navigation, even for basic tasks. Is this dependence actually making our lives easier, or is it leading to a loss of skills and self-reliance? What do you guys think? Are we heading towards a future where we can't function without our devices?

It drives efficiency enormously. Think of DNA sequencing, the Human Genome Project took around 13 years to sequence a human genome. Today, we can sequence an entire human genome in a fraction of the time in just hours and at a tiny fraction of the cost.

Technology will be key for personalised medical care in the future.

Totally agree! It’s amazing how far we've come with tech in medicine. Can't wait to see what else they come up with next!

It’s the rate of progression in science that is most exciting. It’s essentially the difference between walking then getting a car, every journey is so much faster. Manual work that can be automated instead of paying high salaried scientists to do gruelling boring work allows them to focus on more important areas. I’m excited to see what the future holds despite all of the current AI danger rhetoric
