Mid Laner here, Kassadin is doable this season because of his E buffs around December with the returning item of Rod of Aegis + Seraph is actually good for champion like Kassadin. I just came back on league this december and Kassadin is the only one use I'm comfortable with so far and climbs my ranks quickly whenever I used him.
