Improvements
This security update includes improvements that were a part of update KB5011558 (released March 22, 2022) and also addresses the following issues:
- Addresses an issue that causes a Denial of Service vulnerability on Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV). For more information, see CVE-2020-26784.
- Addresses an issue that prevents you from changing a password that has expired when you sign in to a Windows device.
- This update makes quality improvements to the servicing stack, which is the component that installs Windows updates. Servicing stack updates (SSU) ensure that you have a robust and reliable servicing stack so that your devices can receive and install Microsoft updates.
Windows Server 2022is the new long-term servicing channel release of Windows Server for on-premises data centers and virtual machines. The two main editions are Standard and Datacenter.
