Mandarin Chinese is the most spoken language in the world. There are over 1 billion people who use it regularly. In this increasingly globally diverse world, the number of users is only going to grow. It becomes increasingly useful to learn Chinese because of how many people use it and how much more interconnected the world is becoming with technology on a daily basis. With this course, you will have the opportunity to learn what so much of the rest of the planet Earth already does. You will have the chance to see and hear Chinese spoken and written. You will be shown images that help you remember the words being shown. You can also use the carefully selected words to make commonly used phrases. You will be able to speak the language as a tourist or traveler. You can build up your knowledge easily from here.This course includes videos, Power Point decks, and quizzes to help you test your knowledge. For visual learners, there are videos with vivid images illustrating the words shown. You will also be given context about when and how certain phrases are used. Instead of sounding like you read a textbook, you will get the chance to learn how people speak it. You will be able to practice your knowledge as many times as you want through active listening. You will have interaction through knowledge checks at the end of each section. Feel free to provide feedback on how this course can improve.
